It Ends With Us is probably the most recommended book of the past few years - from its

romance to powerful message, no one can put it down. The novel starts on a high rooftop in

Boston with heightened emotions all around. After refusing to speak at her abusive father’s

funeral, a sad but conflicted Lily meets Ryle - an upset neurosurgeon - high above the Boston

skyline. Both deep in their feelings and without care for what the other thought of them, they

Catching Fire is the sequel to The Hunger Games. This book is part of my favorite book series. I

would recommend this book to anyone between the ages of 11-16. The main character is

Katniss Everdeen, she is reaped into the 75th annual hunger games for the quarter quell. This

will be the second time she will be placed into the arena to fight to death. I would rate this book

The Hunger Games is an amazing book and I would recommend it to anyone between the ages

of 11 and 16 years old. The main character is Katniss Everdeen. She is 16 years old, and lives

in District 12, she lost her dad in a mining accident and is left to take care of her family. She

volunteers for her sister’s place in the 74th annual Hunger Games. Katniss and her fellow

tribute, Peeta from District 12 are trying to make it out alive. I would rate this book a 10/10

The Catcher in the Rye, J.D. Salinger, Realistic Fiction

Holden Caulfield is a young independent boy navigating the world. He takes us along as he goes

through hardships like getting kicked out of prep school. He has an interesting complex so it is

assumed that he is in some kind of mental hospital but he never quite says where he is. Through

his journey, you realize he's just trying to protect his younger self and innocence. Does he stay

innocent though?

In A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, the reader follows former college roommates JB,

Malcolm, Willem, and Jude. Though at the beginning of the book broke and young, they each

aspire to greatness, whether that’s as a movie star or a respected lawyer. Hoping their

friendships stay strong, they set off on personal journeys featuring addiction, depression, fame,

success, and jealousy. Though after growing up more, most of the group achieves their goals
