If you are permanently or temporarily homebound and unable to come to the Library then you qualify for HomeConnect, a books-by-mail service for residents of the Johnson County Library service area. To Enroll in HomeConnect
Print and complete an Application Form. Applications must be signed by an appropriate certifying authority. Please read the included instructions carefully. You may call to request an application form by mail if needed. Then mail or fax, or email your completed application to:

You can place holds online, by phone at 913.826.4600, or fill out a printed Request Form.
If you send in a printed request form, you can request particular titles or ask staff to choose based on your interests.
You can keep your items for 5 weeks. Items can be renewed once unless there is a wait list. You will receive overdue notices for anything not returned on time, but no late fees will be charged.
You will be responsible for paying for any lost or damaged items.
To return your items, remove your address label from the outside pocket of the blue HomeConnect mailing bag, flip over the address label, and check that the Library label is facing out in the pocket. You won’t be charged any fees or postage. It is free to receive and free to return your library check items.
