6. TAKE TIME TO RHYME, SING AND PLAY WORD GAMES
Here are the rhymes and songs from today:
Welcome To Storytime! [tune: "Twinkle, Twinkle" ]
Welcome, welcome everyone,
Now we're here, let's have some fun.
First we'll sing the ABC's,
then we'll read and sing with me.
Welcome, welcome, everyone,
Now we're here let's have some fun.
This is the Way We Wash [tune: "Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush"]
This is the way we wash our hands, wash our hands, wash our hands,
This is the way we wash our hands, early in the morning.
This is the way we wash our face, wash our face, wash our face...
This is the way we wash our hair, wash our hair, wash our hair...
This is the way we scrub our back, scrub our back, scrub our back...
This is the way we splash around, splash around, splash around...
Now that we all have had our bath, had our bath, had our bath
Now it's time to play and laugh, early in the morning!
Five Little Piggies
Five little piggies, rolling in the mud,
Squishy, squashy, squishy, squashy, oh what fun!
Along came the farmer and took one to the tub...
and that left 4 little piggies rolling in the mud...etc.
Bubble Bath by Rob Reid
Bubbly, bubbly bubble bath, [wiggle all ten fingers]
Filled to the top, [raise fingers overhead]
Listen to the bubbly bubbles [cup hand to ear]
Pop! Pop! Pop! [clap three times]
After a Bath
After a bath, I try, try, try;
To wipe myself 'til I'm dry, dry, dry.
Hands to wipe, and fingers and toes,
and two wet legs and a shiny nose.
Just think how much less time I'd take
If I was a dog, and could shake, shake, shake!
