Welcome To Storytime! [tune: "Twinkle, Twinkle" ]
Welcome, welcome everyone,
Now we're here, let's have some fun.
First we'll sing the ABC's,
then we'll read and sing with me.
Welcome, welcome, everyone,
Now we're here let's have some fun.
If Your Clothes Have Any Red [tune: "If You're Happy and You Know It" ]
If your clothes have any red, any red,
If your clothes have any red, any red,
If your clothes have any red, put your fingers on your head,
If your clothes have any red, any red.If your clothes have any blue, any blue,
If your clothes have any blue, any blue,
If your clothes have any blue, Count your fingers up to two,
If your clothes have any blue, any blue.If your clothes have any green, any green,
If your clothes have any green, any green,
If your clothes have any green, Curl your fingers, snarl and look mean,
If your clothes have any green, any green. If your clothes have any yellow, any yellow,
If your clothes have any yellow, any yellow,
If your clothes have any yellow, Sit back down and look real mellow,
If your clothes have any yellow, any yellow.
The Color Song [Tune: "This Old Man" ]
Red, red, red, touch your head.
Blue, blue, blue, tie your shoe.
Brown, brown, brown, bend and touch the ground.
White, white, white, take a bite.
Black, black, black, touch your back.
Purple, purple, purple, turn a round in a circle.
Pink, pink, pink, give a little wink.
Gray, gray, gray, now shout hurray!
I Love Colors Chorus
I love colors, yes I do!
Red and orange and green and blue!
I love colors, dark and bright,
Yellow, purple, black and white!
Baby Bears Color Walk
Baby bear went out for a walk about, to see what colors he could count:
One bright yellow sun up high above.
Two green leaves on an oak tree hung.
Three blue tail feathers on a very loud jay.
Four shinny fins on a wet brown trout.
Five yummy red strawberries to gobble up.
Six black spots on an orange butterfly.
Seven bolts of lightning from a grey thunder cloud.
Baby bears back safe at home,
where he saw one beautiful six colored rainbow.
Color Game
Red, red, is the color I see. If your wearing red then show it to me.
Stand up, turn around, hop real fast.
Show me your read then sit back down.
Blue, blue... Green, green...
Color Hokey-Pokey [tune: "Hokey-Pokey" ]
You put blue in, you take blue out.
You put blue in and you shake it all about.
You do the hokey-pokey and you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about!Repeat, naming a different color each time.
The More We Read Together [Tune: "The More We Get Together" ]
The more we read together, together, together,
The more we read together, the better it is!
'Cause reading and singing and talking together,
Is how you learn the six skills for reading by six.
