Here are the rhymes and songs from today:
Welcome To Storytime! [tune: "Twinkle, Twinkle" ]
Welcome, welcome everyone,
Now we're here, let's have some fun.
First we'll sing the ABC's,
then we'll read and sing with me.
Welcome, welcome, everyone,
Now we're here let's have some fun.
Little Tadpole [tune:"Frere Jacques"]
Little tadpole, little tadpole
Lost his tail, lost his tail.
First he had just two feet,
now he has four feet.
Look a frog! Look a frog!
Five Little Speckled Frogs
Five little speckled frogs, sitting on a speckled log (5 fingers on bent arm) eating the MOST delicious bugs,
Yum! Yum! (pick pretend bugs out of air, rub tummy)
One jumped into the pool, where it was nice and cool, (finger hops into pool)
Then there were just four speckled frogs.... (four fingers on bent arm)
Little Toad
I am a little toad (hold up hand)
hopping down the road. (hop hand)
Just listen to my song. (make ribbit noises)
I sleep all winter long. (lay check on hand)
When spring comes along, I peep out, (peep behind hands)
and then I jump about. (jump hand)
And now I catch a fly. (clap hands)
And now I blink my eye. (blink eyes)
and now and then I hop. (hop hand)
And now and then I stop. (fold hands)
Five Frisky Frogs
Five little frisky frogs hopping on the shore.
One hopped into the pond - SPLASH! So then there were just four.
Four little frisky frogs climbing up a tree.
One fell into the grass - BOOM! So then there were just three.
Three little frisky frogs bathing in the dew.
One caught a sneezy cold - AHHCHOOO!
So then there were just two.
Two little frisky frogs sleeping in the sun.
One slept the day away - SNORE!
So then there was just one.
One little frisky frog, sitting on a stone.
Let's call his four friends back again - YOO - HOO!
So he won't be alone.
