Artist statement:
As a native Kansan and self-taught weaver, I intertwine my passions of weaving and mindful breathing to harness inner strength in a creative way. I allow intuition to guide my work, creating a balance between the material, the art, and the artist - with its imperfections and impermanence. I use humble materials; discarded fibers, items forgotten, supported by tree branches, creating an intentional contemplation of what was and what is right now.
