The PubMed database contains more than 30 million citations and abstracts of biomedical and life sciences literature with the aim of improving health–both globally and personally. Citations primarily stem from the biomedicine and health fields, and related disciplines such as life sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical science ;and bioengineering.
PubMed includes links out to some full-text articles via other sources, such as the publisher's website. To find articles that are free of charge, filter search results using the "Free full text" option. For access to the full text of other articles, submit a request through Interlibrary Loan.
