Intro to Soldering
Monday, Oct. 2 • 5:30-7 p.m.
Central Resource Library
Join our soldering workshop for an electrifying adventure. Whether you're a total beginner or looking to brush up your skills, this session is perfect to start or continue your soldering journey. You will learn to wield a soldering iron like a pro as we guide you through safety basics, solder on copper tape, and solder a light-up badge.
Intro to Metal Casting
Mondays, Oct. 16, Nov. 20 • 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Our metal casting program is back! In this class we will introduce you to the art of casting with a tin/copper alloy called pewter. We will make molds from commonly available materials, demonstrate a variety of mold-making processes and learn to polish and finish our creations.
Intro to Sewing
Mondays, Oct. 9, Nov. 13, Dec. 11 • 5:30-7 p.m.
Central Resource Library
Whether you have never sewn before or just want to refresh your skills, this class will teach you the basics you need to get comfortable using a sewing machine. During this workshop, participants will get an introduction to modern sewing machines and have time to practice simple sewing techniques. You are also welcome to bring your own sewing machine if you’d like to learn how to use it.
Into to Vector Drawing
Monday, Nov. 6 • 5:30-7 p.m.
Central Resource Library
Learn the basics of vector graphics and start creating your own designs. Experiment with universal tools found in most vector drawing programs and learn how vector drawings can be utilized across the MakerSpace. This class is best for those comfortable using a computer.
Nesting Fabric Baskets: Beginner Sewing Project
Monday, Nov. 27 • 5:30-7 p.m.
Central Resource Library
Create your own set of nesting fabric baskets. Participants will use a pattern to cut fabric and learn to assemble the baskets. Basic knowledge of a sewing machine is recommended. If you are completely new to sewing, we suggest attending one of our “Intro to Sewing” offerings first. Our sewing machines will be available for use during the class or you can bring your own sewing machine.
Alphabet Wall Hanging: Beginner Sewing Project
Monday, Oct. 23 • 5:30-7 p.m.
Central Resource Library
Make a custom wall hanging from alphabet quilt blocks. This project will cover how to piece the blocks together and how to add spacing between text. If you are completely new to sewing, we suggest attending one of our “Intro to Sewing” offerings first. Our sewing machines will be available for use during the class or you can bring your own sewing machine.
