We're updating our computer reservation system and offering new ways to print. As always, the Library has computers and WiFi for public use, as well as black-and-white and color printing for a fee. Here's what you need to know about the upcoming changes, including the ability to print from your own device!
In October, new print and computer reservation kiosks will be installed at all JoCoLibrary locations. The process for printing and reserving a computer will remain mostly the same, though the interface will look slightly different. We are also adding the ability to Mobile Print from your own device.
Patrons will be able to add their documents to the print queue from within or outside the Library with their own devices. As before, they will also be able to use Library computers to do so. Either way, they will need to come into a Library location to pay for and release their print jobs.

Patrons will be able to pay with cash or card at the printing station at the time of printing. Patrons who previously had money on their print deposit account will be able to use up that balance over the new few months.
Although new computer reservation kiosks will be installed, the process will remain the same.
Our new print stations will be installed in October 2024. The work will be completed one branch at a time. During the installation process, public PCs will be unavailable at that location for approximately a day.
Patrons will no longer be able to add money to their print deposit balances as of Tuesday, Sept. 3. Patrons with money stored on their accounts will be able to use it for printing for several more months. In the future, we will phase the print deposit system out entirely; more information about when and how that will happen will be available later.
Only a few locations will rearrange their print stations for easier use. Most branches will keep their current print locations. If needed, ask any Librarian for help finding a station.
We will have more information and training for our patrons leading up to the update in October.
