Welcome Back Makers!
As we reopen our doors on 2/22/22, you may notice some changes in the MakerSpace! More than a fresh coat of paint and newly redone concrete floors, we are excited to share lots of updates and upgrades to equipment, hours, online reservation system, circulating maker kits and on-demand equipment tutorials.
New Equipment:

Two new Trotec laser cutters that are more powerful, faster, and larger.

Two new dual extrusion Ultimaker 3d printers, and a Formlabs resin printer that bring industrial quality 3d printing capabilities for our patrons.

A new X-Carve CNC router that is both much faster and larger than our previous CNC machine. This machine is now in the CNC Router room (formerly the Sound Booth) in the MakerSpace....
NEW: Sewing & Serger Video Tutorials
MakerSpace Facilitators have been busy getting new equipment ready for patrons. Check out these in-house made video tutorials to get prepared for reopening in February 2022!
Library OnDemand - MakerSpace
Meet the new Library OnDemand MakerSpace page!
The MakerSpace OnDemand page now features several maker resources from, Getting Started with the BBC micro:bit - a dive into our maker kit that is available for check-out, along with several videos and resources for some fun maker projects.
Tutorials on how to use MakerSpace equipment will be coming soon, including tutorials on our newest equipment, our Trotec Speedy 300 lasers, Ultimaker 3S’s and new BabyLock serger!

While the Central Resource Branch construction continues, the Maker team has been busy getting moved back into the MakerSpace, continuing online programs and remote services, and getting some exciting new equipment ready for patrons!
