The adrenaline genre, which encompasses suspense, thriller, and action-adventure, may seem very broad. There are, however, basic appeal factors common to a title earning the classification. Settings can range from exotic locals to the commonplace, and can include a wide variety of professions and story lines. To be called adrenaline, there must be a sense of impending danger, suspense, and foreboding. Because adrenaline is all about rising tensions the action is fast-paced and often happens in a limited time-frame. The story is not about what’s happening, it’s about what is going to happen.
