Justin Kurzel’s newest film, Assassin’s Creed, has been called one of the best video game based movies made so far. Unfortunately, that isn’t much of a compliment. In this film Callum, played by Michael Fassbender, is captured by the Abstergo Corporation and placed into a machine, the Animus, in order to access and relive memories locked in his genetic code. Using these memories The Corporation, run by The Templars and the Assassin’s sworn enemies, hope to find an ancient relic that will allow them to take control of all free will. Combining world travel, video games, puzzles, archaeology, advanced technology, mysterious parents, growing danger, and a group of ambitious teenagers, this is quite the adventure.

Ben's drill sergeant, never impressed Uncle Henry scoffs at his ambitions of becoming a basketball star, saying if Ben really wants to do something worthwhile with his time he should solve the video game Henry gives him. Available for both PS3 and Xbox 360, Portal 2 is the sequel to the massively popular and critically acclaimed Portal.  If that means anything to you, then you don't need to know anything more than this: it's at least as good as the first one, with less cake and more potato.  If that doesn't mean anything to you, go ahead and keep reading.

Should you try to save a people who hate you? That's the question asked in SquareEnix's Final Fantasy XIII, available on both PS3 and Xbox 360.

What you take out of this game really depends on what you expect from it. If you're looking for a freeplay sandbox, turn around and walk away. If you're looking for excellent character development, pull up a chair and settle down for the ride.
