After an adult Halpern moves in with his parents, he starts tweeting things his Dad says. In short order so many people are following his tweets that the media contacts him for interviews and appearances. Those tweets are compiled and found in Sh*t My Dad Says.

This haunting tale transports the reader into the foggy mists of an English country house that hides many layers of secrets. The heroines of the story are Vida Winter, the most popular novelist of her time; and Margaret Lea, the sheltered bookseller Winter has hired to write the story of her life.

The Power of Half is a book that might revolutionize the charity system. This is a story about a family of wealth and the receptiveness of the parents to the daughter's ideas and thinking.
This family lived the luxurious life with anything they wanted at their disposal.

Beastly: the movie

So six months ago I got really excited because they were turning Beastly by Alex Flinn into a movie. I knew the book was based on the tale of Beauty and the Beast, set in modern day New York City. I immediately grabbed the book, and although it wasn't all that great, I enjoyed it for what it was. Then they delayed the movie, then they delayed it again.

Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S. King is a 2011 Printz Honor Book.  The book begins with high school senior, Vera Dietz, attending the funeral of her best friend Charlie Kahn.  At least Charlie had been her best friend until about five months ago when things started to go horribly wrong and he ditched Vera to hang with the "Dentionheads".
