Fudge-a-Mania is a fictional novel written by Judy Blume. Peter Hatcher,

who is a fifth grader in New York and he takes a vacation to Maine. He has to

share a vacation house with his enemy, Sheila Tubman. Peter has to come to

terms with this, and his teen age while growing up when dealing with Sheila, and

his younger annoying brother, Fudge. He tries to make this situation better with

his friends, but it turns into problems. Things get better between them, and they

are step cousins at the end, after all their experiences they had together. So they

plan to be a better company for each other.

The most compelling aspect is when it turns into a family relationship at

the end, after all that has happened. I was disappointed that the book did not go

in too much depth about everyone’s feelings. This is since I would like to know

more about the contrasting views about each other. The thoughts and feelings

that this book inspired is that relations can get better. I would recommend this

book to those that like humor and like to read about relations and experiences

between people.
