True to form, Nate’s trip is anything but smooth sailing, and the usual chaos, mishaps, and Nate-style disasters follow him, even in paradise. This tropical twist brings fresh scenarios for Nate’s comedic personality to shine. I’d give this book a 5 out of 5 because it keeps the humor alive while adding a fun, new setting to the series.
The slow-burn romance throughout the book was what kept me reading. Poppy and Henry are the main characters and they have been friends since college. The book started off talking about how they hadn't talked in two years, but included well-transitioned flashbacks to when they met. They had taken annual summer trips ever since college and this is how they rekindled their friendship. This book is a well-created friends-to-lovers trope book. I really enjoyed this book because the characters were flawed and real.
