I love this book because of its ability to be so relatable. I love that this book is a series because we can see how Shannon grows as a character.

Will Shannon stay with the group or fall behind? I love this book because of its ability to be so relatable. I think this book is perfect for its plot but also its lessons.

How with Raina deal with everyday challenges that are thrown her way? This book was definitely an eye opener. Seeing Raina go through 6th through 10th grade, was an experience. The feeling this book gave me was very exciting. I was anticipating what was coming next and loved seeing her growth throughout.

In the book, there are two groups- the Socs and the Greasers. Ponyboy belongs to the Greasers. People view the Greasers as filthy and wrong, while they view the Socs as an asset to society. This book explains self-identity.
