Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury is an insightful, dystopian novel with timeless metaphors. The protagonist, Guy Montag, is a fireman whose job is to burn books in a world where literature is prohibited. Montag has never questioned the book burnings and is content with his life, including his boring wife, who spends her days watching her television “family”. Until he meets Clarisse, the unconventional neighbor who leaves Montag with more questions than he can keep up with.

Attack of the Black Rectangles follows Mac Delany and his friends in their fight for the truth at their school after they discover that the books in their classroom have words blotted out with Sharpie. When they confront their teacher about it, she blows off their concerns as childish and explains that sometimes, children need to be ‘protected from the truth’. But Mac and his friends know that isn’t true. In fact, their whole class wants the truth.

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury is a classic, dystopian book. The story takes place in the future, in a world where it is illegal to own books. Guy Montag works as a fireman, and his job is to burn books, and the houses in which those books are held. He has done this job for nearly 10 years and has never thought anything was wrong. He was just doing his job and helping his community.

Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian novel where books are banned to eliminate complexion and contradiction among its citizens. Although being a challenging read and hard to understand at times, it shares many relevant messages to today's society. If you give it a few chapters, I can almost guarantee you will want to keep reading. The book's many twists and turns keep you glued and wanting to know more, with Bradbury's delivery of suspense being outright brilliant.

Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian reality novel. This book was a confusing read for me since all of the topics and themes in the book were hard to understand. It was a difficult book to understand because several of the vocabulary words that were used in the novel were confusing and I had to look them up frequently. Overall it’s a good read for someone who likes dystopian fiction and is trying to explore new genres.

You Can’t Say That by Leonard S Marcus is an informative and fascinating collection of interviews by award-winning children and teen authors. These authors share their thoughts and experiences regarding censorship and free expression in eye-opening, sensitive, and sometimes comedic ways, all in an effort to explain why censorship is such an important issue in our modern world. I found the book thoroughly entertaining and would recommend it for older kids, teens, and adults.
