Just for the Summer is a heartfelt and cute romantic comedy that combines emotions with humor. The story is about Justin and Emma, two strangers who meet on Reddit through a strange coincidence: everyone they have ever dated finds their soulmate immediately after breaking up with them. They are intrigued by their shared curse and decide to date each other for a summer, just for the experience. Emma is a traveling nurse who enjoys moving and never stays long enough to get too attached.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is an amazing novel about four best friends—Carmen, Tibby, Lena and Bridget—who, for the first time, spend a summer apart but remain connected through a magical pair of jeans that somehow fits each of their different body types perfectly. Carmen, who was excited to spend the summer with her father, is saddened to find he has a new family and seems to have moved on without her.

The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han is a romance novel that explores the complexities of love, loss, and the challenges of emotional vulnerability. The story follows a teenager named “Isabelle” or “Belly,” a family friend of the Fishers, two brothers of around the same age that she has feelings for. She has always had feelings for the older brother, Conrad Fisher, however throughout the story begins to see how the other brother, Jeremiah Fisher, is also a man she could see herself with.

Every Summer After is a romance book written by Carley Fortune. Backstory: Persephone Fraser is from the big city but one summer her parents bought a lake house in Barry’s Bay. That’s when she met the Florek brothers, Sam, and Charlie. She and Sam became fast friends and were inseparable. Eventually they become more than friends. However, in the present Percy and Sam had a huge falling out that ruined their friendship.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney is the fourth installment in the series, taking readers through Greg Heffley's eventful summer vacation. Unlike the previous books, which focused on Greg's school life, Dog Days shifts the setting to summer, capturing the essence of lazy days, family outings and the trials of growing up. Greg imagines a summer of relaxation, video games and indoor comfort, but his plans are upended by his mom's desire for him to spend more time outdoors and bond with the family.

Cadence Sinclair comes from the seemingly perfect Sinclair family, who visit their private island, Beechwood Island, each summer. Together with her cousins Johnny and Mirren, plus family friend Gat, the four teens form a group self-proclaimed as “the liars”. The reader learns that the Sinclairs aren’t quite as perfect as they seem, with Cady’s mother and aunts obsessed with money and a grandfather obsessed with power, leading to multigenerational family drama that keeps the novel engaging and relatable to many readers.
