Katniss and Peeta have just won the 74th Hunger Games with the help of their mentor Haymitch and want to live peacefully. However, they have become targets of the Capital due to their suicide attempt during the games that sparked rebellion in some of the Districts. Despite their efforts, more and more uprisings occur. President Snow decides to have the next Hunger Game tributes be chosen from the current ring of victors. Now Peeta and Katniss are up against their fiercest competitors yet with so much more on the line.

1984 by George Orwell is great and shows the dangers of surveillance. The book is set in a creepy dystopian future where the government has total control over everything and always watches society's every move. The main character, Winston, is a rebel who starts to question the government's authority. 

It’s 1989 and Christian Florescu lives in Romania under the dictatorship of Nicolae Ceaușescu. After the secret police blackmails Christian to be an informer and spy on Americans. In a society built by fear and mistrust, Christian wants to save his grandfather and wants to stay out of trouble so he agrees. Christian uses his connections with the Americans to spread the truth about Ceaușescu and shed light on Romanians living under his harsh rule. When the time to fight comes, Christian is one of the firsts to stand up.

To start this off, I absolutely loved this book, it's now one of my favorites ever. I’ve read the

entire shatter me series and this is by far my favorite. It continues the story of Juliette and her

journey to take down The Reestablishment. Warner is my favorite book boy out of any book I’ve

ever read. She now has to rely on him, someone she never thought she’d even like to begin

with. Along with simply such an interesting plot, the romance in this book is just to die for.

Dark Age is a dystopian science fiction novel written by Pierce Brown which follows the first

trilogy with a sequel trilogy. Following multiple perspectives we see an ex-soldier named

Ephriam stuck in a horrible situation with the Obsidians and a shift in power. Lysander au Lune,

the heir in exile to the Sovereign, becomes the very thing Darrow feared. With the Romulus

Family and Alexandrea he attempts to wage war with the Repaer. Lyra, continues to discover all

Iron Gold is a dystopian science fiction novel written by Pierce Brown which follows the first

trilogy with a sequel trilogy. Following multiple perspectives we see an ex-soldier name Ephriam

broken by grief and is forced to steal the most valuable thing in the galaxy or pay with his life.

Red Rising is a dystopian science fiction novel written by Pierce Brown. The story is about a boy

name Darrow who is a low born miner in Mars who infiltrates the upper class Golds to free his

low class Reds from oppression. The different classes are separated into colors such as low

class colors: Red and Brown and high class colors: Gold and Silver. The only way Darrow can

become a Peerless Scarred and a Gold who can have true power is to be tested in a battle

In an alternate reality where the Axis powers won World War Two, current day United States has been taken over by Japanese forces and Europe by the Nazis. Ren Cabot is living in what would be California with only his father, bitter that the government killed his mother after she committed treason. The government is controlling of its people, and is only benefiting those in power, so there are many groups trying to undermine them. Mr.

In the third and final book of The Hunger Games series, Katniss is in her new home of district 13. After Katniss returned from the quarter quell Peeta was left to the capitol. Katniss misses him dearly and is mentally out of it. Katniss now also has the stress of leading the rebels in a rebellion and being their mockingjay. Katniss will need to show the people of Panem how much she cares for them and Panem’s future. Will Panem become better than ever, or crumble to pieces?

In the second book of The Hunger Games series Katniss is dealing with the aftermath of surviving The Hunger Games. She is very glad to be back home but nothing feels quite right. People in district 12 are being beaten, she is supposed to get married soon, a rebellion is starting, and her relationship with Peeta is almost invisible. Katniss and Peeta need to truly convince the citizens of Panem that they are madly in love. Katniss is dealing with all of this when the Quarter Quell challenge is announced.
