Jonah and Dylan hate each other. No, really, they do. Dylan hates that Jonah can’t stand not being the center of attention for even five seconds and Jonah hates that Dylan is a perfect rich boy who sucks the fun out of everything. Their hatred for each other is not lessened by the fact that everyone thinks they’d be perfect for each other. When a circumstance presents itself, Dylan proposes a plan- if they fake date, they can stage a fake breakup, and everyone will stop expecting them to go out for real. The thing is even when you fake date you see each other's real lives and Dylan and Jonah realize maybe they don’t hate each other as much as they thought after all.

Jonah and Dylan are both such intriguing characters. Both of them are dealing with their own struggles and finding someone else was really what they needed. Jonah and Dylan are both dealing with so much in their lives. Their stories outside of the romance might be interesting enough to read the story alone. It’s such an interesting read because on top of seeing their romance unfold, we see their own real lives and it makes it hard to not root for them. Neither of them is as perfect and untouchable as they originally appeared to each other; getting to know them was amazing and so was watching as they got to know each other. I loved They Hate Each Other, and I think a lot of other people would love it too. I don’t want to dive too much into the details because it’s better to figure it out yourself, but I would recommend giving it a read.
