City of Glass is the third installment of Cassandra Clare's series, “The Mortal Instruments.” In this book, Clary travels to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters to help find a cure that will help save her mother. She uncovers new truths about her family that reveal shocking truths about all she’s known.
I would rate this book a 5 out of 5 because the flow of this story is exquisite. It will keep you hooked at all times and make you fall in love with each and every unique character in this story. What the author does best in this story is that she makes you feel the same emotions the characters are feeling in every scene. As you read the story, you will start to bond with the characters and notice the character growth that happens as different events happen to different characters that change how they are. One thing I dislike about this book is during the climax in the same chapters they would change POV with a different character, which broke the immersion of the story a little bit in my opinion. All in all, I would recommend this book to fantasy lovers after reading the two books before this one because this one is probably the best and definitely deserves a 5 out of 5.
