Bella Kirkwood is on the case again, this time after finding a woman with a sword
through her heart at the circus. Bella can’t help trying to solve the case with her
editor Luke Sullivan, however Luke seems to be distracted by Ashley Timmons, the
new girl in town. Bella’s dad is about to get married and she thinks there is something
fishy about this marriage and she needs to find out before her life is ruined by
Christina, her dad’s fiance. Bella puts herself in danger once again to solve the
mysteries of Truman, Oklahoma and Manhattan, New York.
This book had a lot going on in it. There were many backstories/plots that made the
story very enjoyable to read. I liked the other books in this series better than this one,
because I wasn’t a huge fan of the circus aspect. This is just a personal opinion and I
think others might enjoy So Over My Head better than I did. Overall, I enjoyed this
book even if it did have a lot going on.
