This summer is different for Belly and the Fisher boys. Susannah, Belly’s mother’s
friend, has recently passed away and summer at the beach wouldn’t be right. Belly is
stuck at home this summer and doing things she doesn't want to do. All she wants is
to be at Cousins beach like every other summer. Belly thinks things can’t get any
worse until Conrad and Jeremiah’s dad tries to sell the summer house. Belly and the
boys will fight for what is rightfully theirs. How will this summer compare to the past
summers? Will new memories be made?
This book was pretty good. I felt that it had a very different vibe from The Summer I
Turned Pretty, because this book was very sad whereas the previous book in this
series was a light fun beach read. This book had much more depth compared to The
Summer I Turned Pretty, which I enjoyed. It’s Not Summer Without You was a good
addition to an already good book. Overall, this was a good read that was a bit deep
at times but was also light and fun at times too.
