Home Alone: The Holiday Heist offers a modern take on the classic premise, where a child defends their home from bumbling thieves during the Christmas season. While it delivers some entertaining slapstick and holiday cheer, it struggles to capture the magic of the original Home Alone. The film follows a new family and introduces a ghost story element, which, while attempting to be unique, feels somewhat forced.
