For Lily Bloom, life hasn’t been easy and she’s had to work hard to start the business she has. But when neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid comes into Lily’s life everything seems too good to be true. Ryle is stubborn and arrogant but also sensitive and sweet. However, Ryle has a “no dating” rule that Lily can’t help but find disturbing. As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan who was her first love and also a connection to her past that she thought she had left behind. So when Atlas reappears in Lily’s life, everything she’s created with Ryle is threatened and she struggles to blend together the past and the present.
I really enjoyed this book! I have read a couple other Colleen Hoover novels and they were good but It Ends With Us completely exceeded my expectations. I think TikTok definitely hyped this book up a lot but in my opinion it is definitely worth the hype. Hoover managed to blend humor and romance while addressing heavy topics such as sexual assault and abuse. I read this book in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down. I laughed, cried, and screamed all while enjoying the magic that is “It Ends With Us.” I wouldn’t say this book is necessarily just a romance novel because it’s definitely deeper than that and addresses important topics such as self-discovery, homelessness, and abuse. I definitely recommend It Ends With Us if you like reading because I think it’s a great book everyone should read.
