City of Bones is about Clary Fray, a girl who isn’t aware of who she
actually is. After finding out she can see other creatures people can’t, she
comes back home to find her apartment vandalized and her mother gone.
She gets sucked in a group called the Shadowhunters who are trying to
protect the Mortal cup from a demon named Valentine. But as Clary tries to
figure out what’s going on, she is starting to retrieve memories about her
mother and her relationship with the Shadowhunters. Not quite sure of why
her mother never told her about them, Clary sets out to find her mom and
Valentine, as well as to look for the Mortal Cup.
I wasn’t too sure about this series, but as I started to read more and more, I
started loving it! It was very eventful and I loved Clary’s personality. I would
recommend for those looking for a good series.
