Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is confusing. It starts off great with Grindelwald
making a dramatic escape from prison after infiltrating the American Magical Congress-- but
then proceeds to get foggy when professor Dumbledore is either unwilling or unable to stop
Grindelwald's madness and relies on Newt Scamander to fight him instead. Newt, not being
able to fight Grindelwald effectively, given his field in Magizoology, tries to find the one person
who can: Credence. Ironically, Grindelwald is also trying to find Credence, making it a race as to
who can find him first. Along the way, however, the movie gets sidetracked with unnecessary
subplots-- making for, if anything, a nauseating filler movie to the Fantastic Beasts series.
