Mateo Torrez and Rufus Emeterio are complete strangers but they both have one thing in

common, they're dying today. In a world where everyone knows when they're going to die.

Rufus and Mateo want to go out with a bang. They can do that by making one last friend in

there final hours. The last friend app will help them do that. They're about to meet up and have “

one last great adventure, to live a lifetime in a single day”.

I rate this book a 3 because I really

liked the plot of the book and the overall idea but It didn't get the highest rating from me

because the writing could have been way better and I've seen a few people say that the

romance in this book felt rushed which is a statement that I disagree and agree with at the same

time, what I mean by that is that in Mateos pov we see him crushing on Rufus and falling for

him but in Rufus’s the most romantic thoughts he ever felt for Mateo were how pretty his name

was. But on the other hand these kids are dying today so they don't exactly have a lot of time to

fall in love.

In conclusion I definitely see where the author was trying to go with this book and on

some levels he succeeded but on other this book could have been so much more meaningful,

with better writing and a part of me wishes that the characters just stayed platonic friends this

book had many filler chapters and sometimes came off as borderline cringey. It's a book that I

neither loved nor hated. This book was honestly mediocre.
