The BFG is a fantasy fiction book written by Roald Dahl. The BFG stands for
The Big Friendly Giant. He's not an ordinary Giant, as he learns new ways from the
humans and the Giants. He goes through many situations with a human, and he's
learning the differences of both the worlds. The main characters of The BFG, and
his Giants. Sophie and the other orphan children are also an important part of
this book. The BFG wishes to save the children from the other mean and vicious
Giants. What is standing in the way is that these Giants are very powerful and do
not listen to The BFG.
BFG and Sophie go through many journeys to help save the children. Even
though they go through many hurdles along the way, they learn about each other
and come up with innovative solutions. The Giants are not an obstacle anymore
for the little children, and they both decide to make the world a safer place. The
most compelling aspect is when Sophie meets The BFG and her first reactions. I
was disappointed when the Giants didn't understand the little kid's feelings, and
just cared about what they wanted. This is because they are acting selfish, and
don't go when the BFG tries to explain this to them. It's our feelings that this book
inspires us to come up with innovative situations and solutions even when
learning new things. I'd recommend this book to those who like to read comedy
books and those that like to read fantasy books, as well.
