This story follows Keena whose boyfriend died five years ago and she takes full blame upon and
does time in jail for his death. While Keena is awaiting jail time she finds out she is pregnant
with a girl, she makes the decision to have her boyfriend, Scotty's parents, raise her child. Due
to the circumstances Keena has her rights to see her child removed. After being released from
jail Keena goes back to the town where the tragedy struck to try to reunite with her daughter
again. There she meets Ledger, a bar owner and Scotty's best friend who see’s Keena's side of
the story and tries to help her make amends with Scotty's Parents and for her to hopefully
reunite with her daughter. This story was very unique and was like nothing I have ever read
before. I personally think that this was one of Colleen's better books. I enjoyed the many aspects
and layers that this book holds and found myself immersed in the story. I rate this book a 4.5 out
of 5.
