Lord of the Flies by William Golding is about a group of boys getting stranded on an island after a plane crash. Without any adults around, they think they have a lot of freedom and start building their own society. They face many hardships and learn that there is a lot of evil in humans.
I have mixed feelings about this book because some parts were very gruesome. I honestly didn’t enjoy this book that much. The book focuses a lot on the evil in humans and how people act when they are left to do anything. In the start of the book you wouldn’t be able to guess the things the characters would do later on. It shows how people have to do certain things in order to live. There were some killings in the book that were really sad but the ending was a happy one. I give this book a 2/5.
