A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a fantasy play written by William Shakespeare. The
play is about two worlds: the fairy world and the human world. In the fairy world, King Oberon
and Queen Titania are having some arguments and Oberon has decided to play a trick on
Titania so that she can see the errors of her ways and come back apologizing to Oberon. In the
human world, two secret lovers are running away from arranged marriages while the arranged
groom is searching for his missing bride with her best friend, who is secretly in love with the
groom. Oberon sees this situation and tells his servant to work some magic to make the lovers
fall for their rightful soulmate, but the servant messes it up and relationships become tangled in
a puzzle. This book is very funny and I loved all the characters, especially the servant Puck and
the human Bottom. It’s a nice story with nice characters that has a very good tone in it. I would
definitely recommend this book to someone who hasn’t read a Shakespeare book, especially a
Shakespeare comedy, because this feels like a good starting point into the world of
Shakespeare’s works.
