*Spoiler alert if you haven’t read the other two books in this series*
This is the third book in the Darkest Minds Series, and it was a pretty good ending to the trilogy. There wasn’t complete closure at the end of the book, but it didn’t end a cliff hanger. This book takes place in the aftermath of the bombing of the League’s headquarters. What’s left of the League goes to another base to try and continue their fight against the government. There’s a ton of drama between Ruby, Liam, Cole, and some of the rest of the crew as they struggle to balance their relationships & friendships with the effort they use to fight against the government and for the liberation of all of the camps.
This was a very thrilling, action-packed novel, similar to the rest of the trilogy. I think that it’s a pretty worthy read if you have read the other 2 books in this trilogy. I was a bit frustrated with Ruby throughout the book, but she did have some good character development. I was pretty satisfied with the ending although not everything was closed off. I thought this was a good read and would definitely recommend it to other The Darkest Minds series readers. I recommend this trilogy to people who like sci-fi, action, and super-powered kids fighting against a very corrupt government.
