Georgiana Bridgerton is furious - not only has she been kidnapped, but after she beautifully orchestrated her escape she found only blame and accusations of having been “ruined”. Nicholas Rokesby is equally upset - though his anger is because his father has summoned him home in the middle of the exam season and all but demanded that he marry his neighbor Georgie. After finally coming to the conclusion that he must acquiesce, he asks for her hand…but he never expected that she would refuse him. But their time together begins to paint each other in a new light; perhaps there is a future for them after all.
I enjoyed this book, though of course it did share many similarities with the other Bridgerton novels. The stronger female character was a nice change, though it felt pretty surface level. The end was a very satisfying conclusion, and I would rate it four out of five stars.
