Harry had the worst birthday of his life just as he feels like it can’t get any worse he gets warnings of doom from a house elf called Dobby and gets grounded by the Dursleys. In the second installment of the series we see Harry return to Hogwarts in an unusual way and it turns out Dobby was right…
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was an amazing book; it gives us more of what we love about the first book, the world and its characters are given more depth, we learn about the history of Hogwarts and the golden trio learn and use new magical items and spells which aid in their hunt to find the heir of Slytherin. The whole book was filled with unexpected twists and turns which left me wondering what was going on. I was not sure who the antagonist of the book was until the very end. I love how J.K. Rowling sets up things casually which turn out to really impact the story in unexpected ways. Overall, I give this book a 4.7 out of 5.
