Avery Kylie Grambs lives in New Castle, Connecticut with her sister, Libby. All she wants is to make it out of high school and major in actuarial science. One day, at school, a mysterious stranger arrives and informs her that she has just become the heir to Tobias Hawthorme’s 46.2 billion dollar inheritance from a man she has never heard of. The only catch: she must live in a mansion with all of the former heirs, and more for at least one year. Avery and Tobias’ four grandsons must solve riddles upon riddles and uncover secrets upon secrets. At the end, they uncover a jaw-dropping truth that will challenge everything they thought they knew. It’s hard to imagine a better book/series than this one, and Jennifer’s unique writing style will keep you guessing until the end (in which you will then proceed to immediately buy the other books, and if you have them, start reading). I would recommend this book to a teenage reader.
