Carrie Soto is famous in the world of tennis. Or maybe infamous is the better word. Carrie has broken every record there is in the tennis world and has 23 Grand Slam titles to her name. Though six years into her retirement her record is at risk. When Nicki Chan threatens her record, Carrie decides it is once again her time. With the help of her father and fellow player Bowie Huntley, Carrie Soto is back to claim her title.
I’d highly recommend this book to anyone who's enjoyed others of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s books and anyone interested in stories of fictional famous people. This book did a fantastic job in creating a world the reader can fall into. Despite Carrie Soto not actually being a professional tennis player in real life, it feels as if Reid is doing a retelling of an actual person. This book shines a light on appreciating what one has while always trying to strive for more.
