While reading The House on Mango Street, I was very attracted to the idea of telling a story through a group of stories. I have only seen one author do something similar, so the book caught my attention immediately. I honestly loved reading each vignette and seeing all the different literary devices Cisneros used to convey her message. At first, I was completely confused on what each story meant to the overall story, but once I was finished, the book made complete sense making me love it even more. However, I personally would say there are better books out there, but this one was a great one for sure.
