Daisy Jones grew up on the club scene on Sunset Strip. Across the country, The Dunne Brothers band plays school dances and weddings, trying to punch their ticket to Hollywood. When famous producer Teddy Price has them collaborate on an album, they become the most famous band in the world: Daisy Jones and The Six.
The documentary style novel takes readers through the trials, tribulations, drugs, and heartbreak required to put out a best selling album in the 1970s. This book is absolutely amazing. Taylor Jenkins Reid is able to take you through the stories and development of 6 main characters completely seamlessly, making all of them feel so human. I especially love the display of how many different ways humans can love each other and experience love. This book does contain mature themes such as explicit language, sex, drugs, rock and roll. If I could give it more, I would. But this book gets 5 stars.
