I watched the movie before the book, which I know is against the rules for frequent readers, but good news! They are very similar to each other! This book was absolutely adorable. I love the big differences between Juli and Bryce, and their portrayal of younger and more immature kids. I think it is really relatable even as an older teenager, because sometimes feelings are irrational and this story really validates that and illustrates that well. I do believe that this book is for a younger audience, and kids that are in 5th or 6th grade would be able to read and enjoy this. Overall, this book is really cute and made for an audience that likes historical books as this one is set in the 1960s. Also, people who like cute little romance stories!! Overall, I would give this book 3 stars because it is a little bit young for me.
