None of This True, is a cozy gripping thriller that will keep you guessing. Josie Fair is celebrating her 45th birthday at a local pub. There she meets Alix Summers, a podcaster who shares the same birthday. A birthday twin! They bump into each other days later. This time Josie talks about her idea of making a podcast about herself. She convinces Alix that she's going to make a big change soon. Alix has uneasy feelings about Josie but she can't resist the temptation of her curiosity. Alix soon realizes that Josie's hiding dark secrets and this new podcast might turn into a true crime instead. Who exactly is Josie Fair and what does she want from Alix Summers?
The only upsetting thing I found from this book was the fact that it was slow at times. However, if you ignore that then this book was amazing. My favorite part would have to be the writing style. I'm not a person who loves different points of view, but in this case, it works perfectly. The story also gets interrupted every once in a while by short chapters of the Netflix Documentary, “The Birthday Twin”, where we see tidbits of other people's thoughts about what happened. At the time it was a tiny bit confusing but when I was 75% in the book I started to see how things connect. All I can say about the ending is that it will leave you shook.
I will say, seeing this is an adult book, it would be better suited for mature 13-year-olds or older. In the end, I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good psychological thriller. I promise when you start reading you will not be able to put the book down till you know what happens!
