Amelia Unabridged is a fiction novel by Ashley Schumacher. Weighed down by grief, a surprise package takes Amelia Griffen to a bookstore in Michigan. Amelia finds her future changing as she discovers who she is, and, just maybe, falls in love along the way. This book is beautifully written and is one of those stories that is simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking. My rating says 5 stars because there’s no option for 500- I loved everything about it. For a story rooted in grief, Amelia Unabridged made me feel hopeful and happy. Each time I read this story, I find myself wishing that I could see the whales too.
