One Of Us Is Next is the sequel to the popular booktok book One Of Us is Lying by Karen McManus. A new mystery has popped up in the small town of Bayview, a game with dangerous consequences that is targeting students at Bayview High. The story follows the younger sister of Bronwyn–who was a main character in One of Us Is Lying– Maeve. The story contains many plot twists, an interesting game, and much more.
I liked this story was a lot less compared to One Of Us Is Lying. I really loved One of Us Is Lying and I just don’t think this sequel lives up to expectations. It was boring, bland, and just slower overall. The plot twists weren’t exciting to me, and they were honestly quite predictable. I had a lot more expectations from this story– and it fell flat.
