It’s New York City in the year of 2118, and a tower with a thousand floors stands tall. But there are horrors and secrets that must remain hidden. On the worst night of her life, Leda is taunted by terrible memories and knows that she must keep this secret hidden no matter the cost. Watt is desperate to keep a clean slate and put everything behind him, including hacking. But when Leda blackmails him to work for her again, Watt knows that he has to get rid of her- for good. After winning a scholarship to a school on the upper floors, Rylin’s life transforms drastically, with opening new wounds and closing old ones in return. On the thousandth floor, Avery is desperate to be with the one person that she will never be able to have, and she is willing to do anything. And then there is the new arrival of Calliope, the mysterious beauty who arrived in New York to cause an uproar and, by meeting the five teenagers who hide a deadly secret, she knows the first place to start.

I keep reading through this series super-fast and, every time, I love it even more. This book was much better than the last, and it might have been because of the new character of Calliope. I loved her so much and I’m so glad that she was able to have a good ending in this book… but I shouldn’t be too excited because there is still one book left after this one. This whole series kept me addicted to the futuristic drama that it offers, and I absolutely love the way it was executed. There are few books that I can remember so often but this one was definitely it. Maybe I just like drama, or maybe I just like futuristic technology but wow. I never really liked it before, but this series really did it justice. I hope the next book is just as good as this one, so I guess I’ll find it out.
