Pretties by Scott Westerfeld is the sequel to the book Uglies, and the second book in the trilogy. This book is about how Tally finally accomplishes her dream of becoming pretty, and the adventure of when she remembers some things the government deliberately programed her not to. Tally goes on a mission to find out why she remembered this and what she is to do with this memory.
I can’t say much more about the book because I don’t want to spoil it, but I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It’s a really good book and if you enjoy books like Divergent, Legend, and The Hunger Games, you will certainly enjoy this book. This book is a bit slow at parts but it’s meant to be that way to set the mood for the rest of the book. I would make sure to read the first book before reading this one because if you don’t you’ll be very confused. Overall, this book is really good if you like dystopian fiction covering topics like cosmetic surgery, lifestyles in different time periods, etc.
