What happened to make the murderous President Snow so terrible? Or who? This is the story of the tenth Hunger Games, where Coriolanus Snow is just an 18-year-old boy trying to make a life in the Capital. Where Coriolanus Snow seemed to have a heart. This year the game is a bit different, as they are allowing mentors. It seems like the odds are against Snow as he gets paired up with a girl from District 12, Lucy Gray.

This book is longer than the usual Hunger Games books, however, it's worth it. It is told from Snow's perspective, which I liked because he really did seem innocent. The movie adaptation is similar to the book but I would recommend reading the book to see Snow's mind. The ending however was crazy and made this book so much better because of the so many theories that can go with it.

I highly recommend reading this book if you like dystopian and villain-origin stories. Although this is a prequel, read The Hunger Games Trilogy first, so you understand the world and game. Also, I would start reading the book, just in time to read the upcoming book, Sunrise on the Reaping.
