The Meaning Of Maggie follows 11 year old gifted child Maggie as she discovers the meaning of growing up and the struggle that comes with it. Maggie knows almost everything, but can’t seem to figure out why her cool dad’s legs are falling asleep, or why her mom is working double shifts. Maggie is a science fair winner, novice stock investor and future president, so she’s sure she can fix whatever is wrong. Maggie has to fight her middle school fears and work harder than ever to keep her family one loving unit. The Meaning of Maggie shows all the little quirks and fun things about living, but also the big things that we can’t stop from happening.

I loved this book because of its amazing humor, nostalgic vibes and fun facts about everything there is to know. It’s a really great coming of age story with a hilarious protagonist that is sure to make you laugh. I enjoyed the unique perspective of Maggie’s family, and the niche but important topics they discuss. I loved the plotline and I thought it was a fantastic read. I recommend this book as a way for people to put themselves in someone else's shoes in order to find comfort in knowing someone else experiences similar things.
