Daydream by Hannah Grace is a long and repetitive book with no clear message or image that sets itself apart from the other two books in the Maple Hills Series. This book is about Henry and Halle and how two unlikely people can come together for a mutual benefit situation. Henry gets help from her for a class he can’t seem to get and Halle gets new experiences from Henry to help her write her romance book.
I read this book because I enjoyed the first two, I think they are two personal favorite romance books that I would recommend in a heartbeat but this one not so much. I wanted more from this book. Where was the main storyline? Where was a conflict? By the end, I was left wanting more but also wanting the book to end at the same time. There is no real ending, just a bad attempt at a third act breakup and a quick resolution from things that needed more and honestly deserved more than the last forty pages of the book. I don’t think this book is worth recommending but if you want a feel-good romance book just read one of the first two books in the series. I give this book two out of five stars because honestly, it means nothing that I have read this book and I honestly don’t feel like I enjoy this series any more or less because of this book. It didn’t feel more than just words on the page because this book was nothing more than just words on a page.
