Project Hail Mary begins with a guy who wakes up not knowing where he is, how he got there or why he is in the situation he is. Eventually, he comes to find out what his purpose is by relying on his impressive memory. His goal is to save the Earth from a small microbe called Astrophage. Astrophage is a huge problem because as it spreads rapidly the sun starts losing its light. Pressure is on for this sole survivor as he tries to save Earth before its too late.

Most impressive in this book is how Weir's writing, even with some sci-fi elements, is quite real in depicting a hypothetical space mission. If you or someone you know loves science fiction or loves learning more about science in general, I would highly suggest taking the time to read this amazing book. Personally, this book has convinced me to explore other classical or modern works of science fiction. It is on the longer side at 476 pages, but with Weir's writing and storytelling, it goes by fast. This book is perfect for sci-fi readers and people who are interested in space or the future of space exploration. Anybody with a keen interest for adventure will like this book as well.
