Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School throws Greg Heffley into an unfamiliar world—one without modern technology. When Greg’s mom pushes for a “simpler life,” he finds himself stuck at a weeklong wilderness camp, dealing with no electronics, gross chores, and unpredictable disasters. Meanwhile, at home, his grandpa moves in, bringing even more chaos to Greg’s already complicated life.
With Kinney’s signature doodles and laugh-out-loud storytelling, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School hilariously captures the clash between generations and the struggle of surviving without today’s comforts. I really enjoyed this book because it was funny to see Greg try to survive without technology, and it made me realize how tough it would be to live in the "old days." Five out of five stars.
